Reception have been fully immersed in learning about the coronation and together wrote a book called “The King’s Crown” based on Steve Antony’s “The Queen’s Hat”. They have also been focussing on teen numbers in maths which will continue over the next few weeks.
What a week for Year 1 to be visiting our local 1000 year old medieval castle in Arundel! Our little lords and ladies certainly got into the coronation theme when touring the grand rooms and glorious gardens - we even caught the final day of the spectacular tulip festival!
The Year 2 classes have been making potions this week! They followed a collection of recipes to create mixtures of all colours and textures. They then carefully concocted their own shrinking potions which, combined with a sprinkle of imagination, will take them on incredible adventures over the next weeks!
